Software Design
CMS Made Simple is an open source package, built using PHP with support for MySQL. Although PostgreSQL was previously supported, developers chose to remove PostgreSQL support and the latest version no longer supports any database except MySQL. Template system is driven using Smarty Template Engine. CMS Made Simple aims to provide easy development and customization with themes, add-on modules, dynamic menus, tags and translations. When developing a new feature, the open tab is full of default text. Developers start by deleting unneeded bits, and then adding another tag linking to the plugin, known here as a module. Because it recommends that you customize your existing work markup code.
