Alternative Press Music Awards is an annual music awards event in the United States, founded by the Alternative Press music magazine.

On April 24, 2014, Alternative Press announced they are hosting an award ceremony to be held on July 21, 2014, at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland, Ohio. Mark Hoppus, bassist and vocalist of the pop-punk band Blink-182, hosted the debut show. The first show was broadcast live on AXS TV and Radio Idobi nationwide, and featured performances from various acts such as The Misfits, All Time Low, Sleeping with Sirens, Twenty One Pilots and more. During the first show, the artist is given in 15 categories. 12 categories are given by Alternative Press readers through online voting. The opening ceremony was attended by 6,000 people, with Fall Out Boy winning the Artist of the Year; it featured live performances by Fall Out Boy, Joan Jett & amp; Blackhearts, Misfits, A Day to Remember, All Time Low, Asking Alexandria, Twenty One Pilot, and Brendon Urie from the Panic! in Disco.
By 2015, the award ceremony was moved to Cleveland's Quicken Loans Arena. It features hosts Alex Gaskarth and Jack Barakat All Time Low and performances by Rob Zombie, New Found Glory with Hayley Williams from Paramore, Panic! in Disco and Weezer headliner.
Due to the Republican National Convention, APMA 2016 was transferred to Columbus City Arena. The show includes performances by Judas Priest vocalist Rob Halford in collaboration with Babymetal, Third Eye Blind with Mayday Parade and Maine, frontman Black Veil Brides Andy Biersack with Mikey Way, John Feldmann and Quinn Allman, Kelly Machine Gun, Of Mice & amp; Men, Papa Roach, Good Charlotte and headliners A Day to Remember.
The fourth annual event is hosted by Andy Biersack of Black Veil Brides.
