Audi Sport GmbH , formerly known as quattro GmbH , is a wholly owned subsidiary of Audi, a division of the Volkswagen Group.
Founded in October 1983 as quattro GmbH, the company mainly specializes in producing automobile and high performance Audi components, along with special customization of buyers. The former name of the company is a tribute to the original four-wheel drive car Audi - Audi Quattro. In 2016, the company changed its name to Audi Sport GmbH.
Located on a site of 3,500 square meters (37,670 square feet) in Neckarsulm, near Stuttgart, in the German State of Baden-WÃÆ'ürttemberg. With over twenty years' experience, their own manufacturing and manufacturing plants are based on a site of more than 10,700 square meters (115,170 sq ft) of the now-defunct German automotive manufacturer (and Wankel piston rotary machine pioneer) NSU Motorenwerke AG (NSU ), in what is now known as the "aluminum factory" of Audi, or the aluminum site.
Although "quattro GmbH" as a company may be relatively unknown, compared to its parent, Audi, its main products include Audi RS4, Audi RS6 and Audi R8. Furthermore, this is a 'closed company', where it does not sell its car directly to the public through a franchise outlet under its own brand name; instead, they are sold under the Audi marque. However, now they are selling 'quattro GmbH' lifestyle products and accessories through Audi's franchise booth and Audi's Forum as it is located at the Allianz Arena in the northern suburbs of Munich, Germany.

Area bisnis
Audi Sport GmbH specializes in four 'key' areas, including design, testing and production of Audi specialist cars and high performance, such as Audi RS3, Audi RS4, Audi RS5, Audi RS6, Audi RS7, Audi RS Q3, Audi TTRS and Audi R8.
They also design and define roadwheels, and design and manufacture sport suspensions, and specialist car parts (such as front bumper and splitter, side skirts, rear bumper and diffusers, and rear spoiler) are primarily used on the Audi "SÃ, line" specifications trim is available in most model ranges.
car RS
The Audi RS car has technology and performance comparable to high-performance sports cars like the Porsche 911. Based on conventional sedans or station wagon cars, the RS model also maintains everyday comfort. and the practicality of the regular mainstream model. They are some of the most powerful vehicles ever offered by Audi. quattro GmbH manufactures, designs, develops, and manufactures all RS models along with parents, AUDI AG.
The "RS" initials are taken from German: RennSport - literally translated as "sport racing". RS is the trim of the highest level of Audi, positioned clearly above the "S" ("Sport") specification level range of regular models of Audi. RS cars are usually produced in limited quantities on a limited time scale (historically, near the end of production of a particular model, before evolution or a new generation of the same model), and pioneered some of the latest and most advanced Audi technologies and engineering skills; Therefore, "RS" cars can be described as (and often marketed through television commercials as) "halo vehicles". While car hospitals generally command a much higher purchase price, as compared to their 'lower' brothers, they also maintain a very high residual value as well.
SÃ, line
SÃ,line is a trim specification that allows customers to give a sporty impression on their generally mainstream Audi models. While individual S-line parts and components are designed and manufactured by quattro GmbH, the Audi "S-line" cars are still manufactured at the same AUDI AG factories, on the same production line as their related models with levels different trim. Cars with trim "SÃ, line" should not be equated with high performance "S" and "RS" models. Audi cars with the S-line have identical performance figures with their peers with SE or basic trim levels, with the exception of the Audi Q7 S line with 3.0 V6 TFSI gasoline engine (213 kilowatt (290 PS; 286 bph) for standard, 245 kilowatts (333 PS; 329 bhp) for the S line).
Exclusive Audi
quattro GmbH offers potential buyers of new Audi cars likely to customize their new cars beyond the "conventional" scope of choice, for their own personal desires during the initial manufacturing process. This facility is called exclusive Audi , and extends to almost all areas of the car. Customers can choose a unique exterior paint, in any color, and equipped with wheels originally developed by quattro GmbH. For the interior, coatings can be finished in various levels and skin grains (including nappa), again in a choice of colors. This colored skin can also be applied to interior door cover and rear parcel shelves. The headlining fabric can be customized in color, along with a wicker belt. The interior can be completed with a wide selection of fine wood trims, sourced from all over the world, along with coordinated color piping on the edges of customized floor rugs. Finally, for business travelers, various office equipment in the car is available. quattro GmbH first offered this service at the 1995 Frankfurt International Motor Show.
Lifestyle Audi/Audi Accessories
In today's market, many consumers expect to find their favorite brand logo on objects other than cars . Beginning in 1985, quattro GmbH has developed various Audi lifestyle products , known as Audi Accessories . These include mountain bikes and personal leather goods, such as briefcases, purses, wallets and purses. Their highlight is the hour "Chronograph Square". These products allow Audi owners, and non-owners alike, the ability to express affinities for the symbols of four rings , in fields other than cars.

Car production
quattro GmbH has historically only been able to produce one specific model at a time in a single plant in Neckarsulm. Chronologically, the first quattro GmbH model produced was the Audi RS2 Avant, a joint venture between Porsche and quattro GmbH, from 1994-1996 (and actually built in the Porsche Zuffenhausen factory). After this initial joint venture, all subsequent cars have been fully (with the exception of Audi TT RS) manufactured in Neckarsulm by quattro GmbH. The second car is the C4 S6 Plus, produced from April 1996 to July 1997. The third is quattro B5 RS4 Avant 2000-2001; fourth is quattro C5 RS6 2003; the fifth is the salon A4 DTM Edition 2005. The sixth of quattro GmbH is quattro B7 RS4 2006, the seventh of quattro GmbH is B7 S4 25 Quattro in 2006, the eighth is A4 S Line Special Edition (with upgrade 220PS, black optical package, disc brake vented front exhaust, black exhaust pipe, two-tone leather interior) and, in 2009, the ninth and latest offering is the 2008 C6 RS6 5.0 TFSI quattro.
The Audi R8 is built in the new and separate quattro GmbH plant in Neckarsulm.
The latest Audi TT RS and Audi RS3 are both important departures from this Neckarsulm-only production tradition. While the TT RS and RS3 are fully designed, developed and engineered in Neckarsulm by quattro GmbH, they are produced with their 'lower' Audi brothers, with TT RS being produced in Gy? R, Hungary, by AUDI AG subsidiary Audi Hungarian Motor Kft.
cars manufactured by quattro GmbH from Neckarsulm can be identified by specific 2 and 3 digits of the Manufacturer's Parts of the World Vehicle Identification Vehicle Number (VIN) - a quattro-made GmbH car starts with 'W UA ....', while cars manufactured by AUDI AG in Germany begin with 'W AU ....'.
Audi R8
The Audi R8 two-seat, two-seater sports car is exclusively designed and developed and manufactured by quattro GmbH. The old plant on the Audi Neckarsulm site was rebuilt, and EUR28millon was invested in the new R8 production line. About 250 employees work in this car.
The 4.2 liter Liter Fuel Stratified Injection (FSI) V8 oriented longitudinal engine is used in R8, rated at 309 kilowatts (420 PS; 414 bhp) and 430 newton meters (317 lbf? Ft), divided from B7 RS4 quattro, but modified to use dry sludge lubrication system and induction system.
The next version of the V10 R8 version is also available, using a de-tuned version of their company's 5.2-liter FSI V10, which is used in the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4. This variant produces 386 kilowatts (525 PS; 518 bph) and 530 newton meters (391 lbf? Ft).
Furthermore, quattro GmbH launched the concept of diesel-engined R8, "R8 V12 TDI" (later renamed "R8 TDI Le Mans"). This is to use a 6.0 liter V12 engine, utilizing Turbocharged Direct Injection (TDI) turbocharged technology from Volkswagen Group. The machine is rated 368 kilowatts (500 PS; 493 bhp), and produces 1,000 newton meters (738 lbf? Ft) of torque.
Audi Q7 V12 TDI quattro
quattro GmbH has developed the most powerful diesel-powered sports utility vehicle (SUV) in its class. The Audi Q7 V12 TDI quattro is equipped with an internal combustion engine V12 Turbocharged Direct Injection (TDI). First in the world, the new diesel engine replaces 6.0 liters, produces 368 kilowatt motive power output (500 PS; 493 bhp) (measured according to Directive 80/1269/EEC) at 4,000 rpm, and 1,000 newton meters (738 lbf? Ft) of torque at 1,750-3,000 rpm. This is enough to finish 0 to 100 kilometers per hour (0.0-62.1 mph) dash in 5.5 seconds, making it look like a modern sports car. The maximum speed is electronically limited to 250 kilometers per hour (155.3 mph). quattro GmbH has developed this new machine using the existing technology of Le Mans Audi - Audi R15 TDI racing endurance program.
Comparison with other brands
Audi Sport GmbH is associated with Audi in a similar way to the "performance divisions" of other German car manufacturers - such as "Mercedes-AMG GmbH" and Mercedes-Benz, "BMW M GmbH" and BMW, "Volkswagen R GmbH" and Volkswagen, or " Opel Performance Center GmbH "and Opel.
A similar operation called "Volkswagen Individual GmbH", founded February 2003, is reserved for Volkswagen Group's brother company Audi, Volkswagen Passenger Cars in Wolfsburg. Volkswagen Individual GmbH produces the Volkswagen car series " R ", including the latest R32 Golf and Passat R36, and can also customize the buyer requested under the "Volkswagen Individual" label, similar to "exclusive Audi", during early manufacturing process. This service is also offered on a regular basis to buyers of Volkswagen Passenger Cars - Phaeton and Touareg mainstay models, in their respective production plants.
