Extensions
WooCommerce has attracted significant popularity due to its basic products, in addition to many extensions and plugins, free and open source. In addition, there are thousands of paid add-ons for a fixed price. Many Premium Themes now offer capabilities with Woocommerce as well as plugins that create compatible theme frameworks.
Leading WooCommerce extensions include:
- WooCommerce Bookings: Which allows users to sell time blocks as appointments.
- WooCommerce membership: which allows users to restrict access to certain parts of their WordPress website, and sell access to parts of this website.
Partner Program WooExpert
Instead of the WooCommerce certification program uses an official partnership program. WooCommerce recommends users to use this WooExpert for their WooCommerce project. Suppliers may apply to become partners and thus will undergo a multi-stage application process that includes skills evaluation and interviews. Throughout the process WooCommerce aims to assess familiarity with WooCommerce core and extensions. The partnership program has Gold, Silver or Bronze levels until the end of 2017, when it switches to a flat and verified "WooExpert" system.
