NescafÃÆ' © is a coffee brand made by Nestlà ©. It comes in many forms. His name is the portmanteau of the words "NestlÃÆ' ©" and "cafÃÆ'  ©". Nestlà © first introduced their flagship coffee brand in Switzerland on April 1, 1938.

NestlÃÆ' © started developing the coffee brand in 1930, at the initiative of the Brazilian government, to help preserve the large surplus of Brazilian annual coffee harvest. Max Morgenthaler leads the development project. NestlÃÆ'  © introduced a new product under the brand name "NescafÃÆ' ©" on April 1, 1938. Nescafà © Ã… © is a soluble coffee powder that became the staple food of America during World War II.

In 1965, NestlÃÆ' Â © introduced a freeze-dried coffee brand called "NescafÃÆ' Â © Gold" in Europe.

In 1966, NestlÃÆ'Â © developed a frozen-free coffee brand under the name of Taster's Choice.

Marketing

In the United States, NestlÃÆ'  © used the name NescafÃÆ' © on its products until the late 1960s. Later, NestlÃÆ'  © introduced a new brand in Canada and the US called Taster's Choice , which replaced NescafÃÆ' © for many years. The company continues to sell Taster's Choice as a separate product, branded superior to Nescafà © à © and the price is higher.

In the UK, television advertising campaigns, Gold Blend couples starring Anthony Head and Sharon Maughan ran in 12 installments between 1987 and 1993. The first 11 episodes were released as a promotional compilation video called Love Over Gold in 1993. A novelization of the same name written by Susan Moody (under the pseudonym of Susannah James) was released in the same year.

In 2003, the company reintroduced the Nescafà © Å © brand in Canada and the US, and the product is now known as Nescafà ©  © Taster's Choice. It is sold in North American supermarkets in glass and plastic packaging.

While the NescafÃÆ' Â © brand was created for soluble coffee, it has been used as an umbrella brand on a number of instant coffee products, including, in the UK, Gold Blend and Blend 37 freeze-dried coffees.

In 2006, NescafÃÆ' Â © launched a new coffee machine system "Dolce Gusto" ("sweetness" in Italian). This system allows consumers to create different types of coffee themselves (cappuccino, latte macchiato, espresso, lungo, etc.). In addition, hot chocolate and cold drinks can be prepared with the machine. These machines are now sold in more than 60 countries. Unlike other NescafÃÆ' Â © products, most Dolce Gusto drinks use roasted coffee beans and powder instead of instant coffee.

In the UK in August 2009, NescafÃÆ'  © launched a £ 43 million advertising campaign for Nescafà © à ©, focusing on its purity of coffee and displaying the "Coffee on the brightest" strap.

NescafÃÆ'Â © is ranked 153th among the most trusted brands in India according to the Brand Trust Report 2012, a study conducted by Trust Research Advisors. In the Brand Trust Report 2013, NescafÃÆ'Â © is ranked 230th among the most trusted brands in India and then, according to the 2014 Brand Trust Report, NescafÃÆ'Â © is ranked 209th among the most trusted brands in India. Nestle India has branded instant coffee as Nescafe Classic and instant coffee mix and chicory 70:30 as Sunrise.

Legal Charges

In February 2005, the Associated Press reported NestlÃÆ'Â © lost the lawsuit and was ordered to pay Russell Christoff US $ 15.6 million for using his unauthorized image on their Taster's Choice label for about five years (1998-2003). The $ 15.6 million judiciary was then reversed entirely by the California Court of Appeals. On October 31, 2007, the California Supreme Court, with a 6-0 vote, granted the review. On August 17, 2009, the court overturned the ruling (opinion S155242) and returned the case to court to consider whether the advertising campaign included "one publication", which would prevent Christoff from suing because the restriction law would expire, or some publication.

The British band Muse succeeded in suing Nescafà ©  © in 2003 when their song "Feeling Good" was used in unlicensed television commercials, and donated £ 500,000 in compensation to Oxfam.
