Yoast is a search optimization company based in Wijchen, The Netherlands. Yoast is currently considered the most comprehensive search engine optimization software available for WordPress users, with its developers responsible for more than 10% of WordPress releases.

Yoast was created by Joost de Valk in 2006, originally as joostdevalk.nl . After moving and finally selling the domain "css3.info", de Valk created the Yoast platform in 2010.
In 2012, Yoast expanded to offer premium models for WordPress. In 2016, Yoast employs 48 people, of whom 36 are in Wijchen.
